Year In Photos - My 2021 Recap

I hope you had a great 2021. In the second year of this pandemic world we are living in, I feel blessed that my business has continued to have great photography and videography clients that continue to need my services. I have also added several great new clients this past year. All of this while picking back up with our travel services. I added a new cinema camera this past year while holding steady with most of the rest of my equipment. I also landed in a new studio this past year.

Early in the year, I moved into my new studio space. I'm lucky that the space is only about 3 minutes from my home, just off of Centerville Rd in Lancaster, PA. After moving in, I spent some time painting walls and organizing my equipment to really make my studio the most efficient for future photography work. I do love my new large space. With it being 20'x20' and having about 25' ceilings, I have all the space I need. And so far, even having a few very large product photoshoots, I have yet to feel like I need more space.

Coming off of a year that didn't have much travel in 2020 due to the pandemic, I was all over the country this year. At the beginning of the year, I started out with some portrait sessions, and product sessions in my new studio. I also had some on location portrait work. Then the year really started to pick up in April with some regional travel to Maryland, West Virginia and New Jersey, followed by a long trip to Florida in June for a working vacation. It was back to Florida for a long weekend with the family before having a trip to New Hampshire in September. I then had a string of travel in November and December starting with a very quick trip to Seattle, WA for a one day shoot. Then I spent a week in Disney World (Orlando, FL) for a family vacation over Thanksgiving. After only a week home, it was back to Orlando, FL for a week long client shoot. After returning home, the following Monday I was in upstate PA, almost to the New York state border for a single day shoot and then 2 days later found myself back in New Jersey for another single day shoot.

And with all of that moving and shaking, I was able to create some great work for my clients. I spent time working on concepts, details, and the story that gives my clients projects my unique look and style. I was back to working with models, project managers, art directors, stylists and marketing professionals in person. We used my studio, client properties, Air B&B's, other studios, outdoor locations, and even my own house to create this year.

After a very busy year, I can still say I was able to spend a lot of quality time with my family and I feel like I have really mastered a good work/life balance where I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything with my wife or children. I do expect to expand with a little extra time this year, but plan to continue to focus on my family as well.

Hopefully you have hung in through this recap post to this point. Below I will feature some of my favorite photos I created for my clients in the year 2021. It was a great year and I'm really looking forward to creating even better and more unique work for my current clients and working with new clients to help their marketing efforts and grow their businesses. I love my job. I love my clients. I love helping businesses grow their visuals to look better and more professional so they can grow their businesses with a higher quality base. Enjoy the photos below and stay tuned for more blog posts that are specific to a few different types of photography that I did in 2021.
