Top 2017 Photography

My 2017 photography journey has been long and winding. Photographing things from Lancaster, PA to Los Angeles, CA, Las Vegas, NV and Florida. This year, as some of you may know, I started out the year with my arm in a sling after a rough surgery at the end of 2016. I was working a job that was difficult on myself and my family. So, I made the decision to go full time, re-brand my business and re-focus my main photography to commercial, portrait and editorial work. I also pushed myself to pass my drone license test and learned how to create with this new photography tool that gets me off the ground and creating in another way I never thought possible. And finally, I pushed myself to hone my video skills. I must say, 2017 has been even better than I could have imagined.

I have to give a huge thanks my amazing wife for the amazing support and help with this huge decision to create my own business. My friend Marie for being there to help me and be the most amazing stylist whenever needed, Greg Orth for giving me so much knowledge and a different outlook than what I originally thought was necessary, and of course, the awesome clients and relationships I've made in this first year in the new brand I'm creating.

I've helped clients to find a visual voice, re-brand, re-style and create some amazing photos for their websites, social media, ads and other marketing materials. It's really been my passion and is driving what I see for the future in 2018!

Below you will find a few (lots, sorry) of my favorites in a few categories from this past year. Enjoy and I hope to work to create something special for you in the future!

Weddings & Engagement Photography

Let's start with what I did for years. I've cut way back on weddings, and even though I'm not doing many, I did photograph a couple this year.

Product Photography

I have really come to love photographing products. Creating light around them and finding a great angle to make the product look it's best, really is challenging and rewarding at the same time. Also, they don't talk back to you. ;)

Food Photography

Food is also one of my favorite things to photograph. The beauty, the smells, the tastes and like photographing products, they don't talk back!

Portrait Photography

Photographing people has really become and obsession for me. Finding the perfect lighting to make someone look interesting, amazing, beautiful and simply their best is such a passion for me! Reading each individuals face and finding a lighting that will work for their bone structure is just so much fun!

Commercial In Use Photography

Photographing products in use with a model or in a scenario is something that I'm really working to perfect. Finding great lighting, angles while working with models to create photos for clients that will connect with their clients has me really diving into the Marketing side of things. It brings out my creativity and thought to really make my photography work for my clients.

Event Photography

While I don't photograph a ton of events, some are just so special that I couldn't leave these out. Enjoy.

Interior and Exterior Photography

Whether lighting inside of a space or outside letting mother nature help by lighting an exterior, photographing structure is calming to me, and allows me to work a space to find just the right angle.

Landscape Photography

I took 2 trips this year, specifically to do some landscape photography. These trips were also bucket list trips. The first one was to California with my wife to drive from LA up the Pacific Coast Highway to Big Sur. We stopped in Santa Monica, Malibu, Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Cambria, Ragged Point, Big Sur, Pfeiffer Big Sur SP and Hollywood. The second trip was up and down Death Valley.

I hope you enjoyed the some of my favorites from 2017! I have some amazing things planned for 2018 and some things in the works that will be incredible. So, stay tuned! And, If you'd like to work with me, please visit my Contact Page and lets see what we can create together!
